DAY 1: HANOI - ARRIVAL (no meal)
Arrival at Noi Bai International Airport.
On arrival, welcome and transfer to your selected hotel.
Overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 2: HANOI VISIT - HALONG BAY (B/L)
In Hanoi, we experience the rich cultural and artistic traditions of Vietnam’s capital. We visit Ho Chi Minh’s former residence and mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda, Ethnology Museum & the Temple of Literature. Enjoy a cyclo ride through the old quarter past the Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son temple to a local restaurant for lunch.
After lunch, drive to Halong Bay –listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. “Dragon descending to the sea“ as it is known in Vietnamese, picturesque Halong Bay has more than 1,500 limestone islets rising from the sea, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. Hotel checks in and overnight in Halong.
DAY 3: HALONG BAY - HANOI (B/L)
Enjoy a relaxing 5 hours boat trip through Halong Bay with a fresh seafood lunch prepared and served on board. Cruise around the islands, relaxing and swimming before returning to Hanoi.
Back Hanoi in the late afternoon. Overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 4: HANOI - HUE (B/L)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for flight to Hue, former Imperial capital during Nguyen Dynasty.
On arrival, welcome and transfer to your selected hotel. And then take a boat for a cruise on the gentle Perfume River to the seven – storey Thien Mu Pagoda on the riverbank. Continue by car and visit Emperor Minh Mang’s Mausoleum.
In the afternoon, discover the Imperial Citadel, Emperor Tu Duc and Emperor Khai Dinh’s Mausoleums. Stop on the way to see how conical hats and incense sticks are made.
Overnight in Hue.
DAY 5: HUE - DANANG - HOIAN (B/L)
After breakfast, transfer to Da Nang via Hai Van Pass. On arrival, visit the Cham Museum and Marble Mountain then continue to the riverside town of Hoi An, which was an important trading port during the 17th & 18th centuries and which, nowadays, is officially listed as a World Heritage site. The rest day is free at leisure.
Overnight in Hoi An.
DAY 6: HOIAN-DANANG-HOCHIMINH (B/L)
After an early breakfast, transfer to Danang Airport for your morning flight to Saigon. On arrival, transfer to your selected hotel.
In the same morning, discover bustling Saigon: Enjoy a tour in the Old Colonial Residential Quarter and discover the old Hotel de Ville, the Opera House, Notre-Dame Cathedral, the dazzling French-style post office and the Reunification Palace. Lunch at local restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit the War Remnants Museum, then continue to Cho Lon and stop at Binh Tay Market. Finally, end the day with a visit to Vinh Nghiem Pagoda. Overnight in Saigon.
DAY 7: HO CHI MINH CITY - CU CHI TUNNELS - HO CHI MINH CITY (B/L)
Breakfast at hotel. In the morning drive to cu chi district, en route you will have the opportunity to visit local homes producing rice paper and rice wine. Visit the amazing complex of underground tunnels at Cu Chi. There are more than 200 km of underground tunnels, comprising a main axis system with many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters and other tunnels. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh and have lunch at local restaurant before back hotel.
DAY 8: HO CHI MINH – CAIBE –VINHLONG - CANTHO (B/L)
Morning departure from Ho Chi Minh City and drive overland to Cai Be, in the heart of the Mekong Delta. On arrival, board a sampan for a cruise on the Mekong River and its multiple canals to Vinh Long. Visit an old colonial house, a rice corn factory and taste local specialties for lunch. In the afternoon continue to Can Tho, the main town of the Mekong Delta.
Overnight in Can Tho.
DAY 9: CANTHO – CHAUDOC (B/L)
After breakfast board a Sampan to visit Cai Rang floating market and a family run noodle-making factory and witness the rural life and the beautiful vegetation along the riverbanks. Discover Can Tho’s market then drive to Chau Doc, not far from the Cambodian border. On arrival, visit the Sam Mountain, a popular pilgrimage site gathering temples of Chinese, Cham or Khmer influences, before checking into your hotel. Overnight in Chau Doc.
DAY 10: CHAUDOC – PHOMPENH (B/D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the wharf for speed boat to PhnomPenh.
On arrival, we will be welcome to the hotel. Wasting no time, during the half-day city tour, we will witness the National Museum of Khmer Arts, with its warm red terracotta and its gracefully curved roof topped by dozens of guardian nagas. Then we continue to the nearby Royal Palace, one of the most beautiful samples of Khmer palace, which allows us to visit the precious Throne Hall, Prasat Khemarin, Prasat Samrn Phirum, Hor Preah Khan, Chan Chhaya, and Silver Pagoda where the king regularly does the warship. We pass through the River Front Park whose scenery is much worth shooting, and continue to the only one hill in town with sacred sites called Wat Phnom before getting on a boat cruise along Mekong River bank to see the lovely Phnom Penh city at night with breathtaking view along the river. We have the dinner at the local restaurant. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
DAY 11: PHNOMPENH – SIEMREAP (B/L)
In the morning, we get on the 1-hour flight to Siem Reap, the city of Ankor. The same morning we are on tour to Rolous Group temples including the 9th-century-erected Preah Ko temple, Bakheng, the largest and most complex temple of the Rolous group temples, and the four-brick-tower temple of Lo Lei. After the lunch break, we will head to Small Circuit to witness the Prasat Kravan (Cardamon sanctuary), where we will experience the stunning image of the eight-armed Vishnu in the largest central tower. Then we get going to Banteay Kdei, a massive Buddist temple with four concentric walls; to Srah Srang (Royal Bath); especially to Ta Prohm, which is best known for its originally charming look, with trees and roots intertwined with the carvings and chambers of the buildings. Next, we move to just east of Ankor Thom where stand the Thommanon and Chau Say Tevoda that seem to be known as the twin temple, and to Takeo, the only temple never completed and yet one among the finest. Overnight in Siem Reap.
DAY 12: SIEMREAP (B/L)
As early as morning, we start our tour to the most popular South Gate of Angkor Thom’s before going to Angkor Thom(the temple) which was built by Angkor's greatest king, Jayavarman VII. The major attraction of Angkor Thom is the Bayon, whose exact function and symbolism is still unknown until now. Then we go to Bapoun, which is one of the most spectacular of Ankor’s temples in its heyday; to Terrace of Leper King, another mysterious site to find out; and to Terrace of Elephants that once served as the base for the king’s grand audience hall for the public ceremonies. Now it is time to visit the World Seven Wonder-better known as Anokor Wat- that stands as the most important archaeological site in Southeast Asia. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.
DAY 13: SIEMREAP DEPARTURE (B/L)
In the early morning, we enjoy our time with sunrise at Angkor Wat then back to hotel for breakfast. After that, we are heading to Pre Rup(the pyramid-shaped temple,) then to East Mebon, Ta Som, Neak Pean, Preah Khan and Baksei Chamkrong that all represent the unique feature of Ankorian sites. The afternoon, we then continue to Les Artisans d’Angkor - Chantiers Ecole where visitors can observe artisans making high quality wood and stone carvings from scratch to end-product. Then time will be free for leisure time before getting transferred for the departure.
