Depart from Hue for 2 and half hours to Phong Nha Cave. On the way we stop to visit some of the most famous battle-field in Vietnam War: Ben Hai River, Hien Luong Bridge, lying in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).
Have lunch at a local restaurant then get on a boat trip along the river to Phong Nha Cave. The deeper one penetrates, the more magical are the natural aspects of the caves.
The Phong Nha cave is the longest wet cave or river cave in the world. The extremely large subterranean river system is running through the entire cave, however, there are some large dry chambers in the cave which the water doesn’t reach anymore. The cave is divided in to three different sections, each section is home to different animal species and there is a big difference in temperature.
After on boat for 700 m, a large dry passage appears, then you can walk to discover the cave. You will have a chance to explore the remain of Cham Altars and Inscriptions inside.
Return to Hue in late afternoon.
Arrive in Hue at 20:00. End of tour.
